What we wear is going to be vital if we want to come back in one piece. Check out this video, edited by Lifestyle Video Productions, to find out exactly what we’ll be wearing in Antarctica and how we will be keeping warm.
We will be camping in Antarctica and our tents need to be very robust. We’ll be taking the Terra Nova Hyperspace. We need to be able to get them up fast in all kinds of weather conditions. Here we are practicing in the Lake District.

Can you guess how many items I have on my kit list?

A very good, well put together website with a mixture of writing, images and videos. There is lots of information and questions to keep you interested.I had great fun reading the website and I now know if I ever want to know anything about Antartica then this is where I’ll come! Best of luck for the expedition and I hope it all goes well! See you at school on Monday!

Thanks for your messages Chloe and Tim. I’m sorry you couldn’t get the video to work Tim. I will have to try and work out what went wrong there. You can see the same video from one of the other teachers sites (www.antarctic-teacher.co.uk). Perhaps the link will work better from there.
